Honey & Beekeeping

Hardening is crystallisation, a natural process in pure honey. It happens when the natural sugars form crystals over time, especially in cooler weather. To return it to liquid, stand the jar in warm water and stir gently.

Does that mean it’s bad? A: Not at all. Crystallisation is a sign of pure, natural honey. Heavily processed honey resists crystallising because its natural structure has been altered; ours has not.

Our honey is a natural, seasonal product. Colour and flavour vary with the blossoms the bees visited, the season and the region, and that variation is part of what makes real honey special.

Yes, we supply queen bees.
